Kevin Hunter is a captain in the Administrative/Vice & Narcotics Section of the Fort Wayne (IN) Police Department, which he joined in 1989. He helped create the Department's Hope and Recovery Team, where detectives meet with people who have overdosed and connect them to treatment services. He holds degrees in criminal justice and organizational leadership from Indiana Tech and has been a certified law enforcement instructor since 1994. He is a frequent consultant to public health agencies and was a 2020 Mitch Daniels Leadership Program fellow.
